Ms. Lula Gets Her Vaccine

After a difficult time with getting an appointment, yesterday, Ms. Lula and our Margarita got their first COVID-19 vaccination through Sharp at the beautiful Coronado Island! We were so excited !! It was an outing for the whole team.

Ms. Lula has not been out of the house in about a year. She is no longer walking and I don’t have a ramp yet (I know I know I need to get that done), so it was a production getting her out of the house. My caregivers are amazing! I am so thankful for them.

She did so well on ride. She gazed out the window taking in the amazing views while talking the entire length of the ride.

Once we got there, everyone was so kind and helpful. When it was time to give her shot, she jumped and instructed the doctor to “take it out” as you can see in the video. Then she gave a little giggle.

This morning her arm is a little sore which is to be expected. We will watch her closely to see if she has any other reactions.
